Ticino

There is no world without Ticino walls,
But purgatory, torture, hell itself.
Hence-banished is banish'd from the world,
And world's exile is death.

The inhabitants of Ticino consider themselves to be of Ticino first and foremost. That they happen to be part of the shadow known as Montevalno is thought of as something of an interesting bit of trivia but little else. This leads to a rather isolationist point of view and, as such, the Collegia has made only minor inroads into the principality. The current Exarch of Ticino is Rennata Vadurro, called 'Your Holiness' by her subjects.

Religion in Montevalno has little significance in most principalities but Ticino is different. The art that comes from there is mostly geared towards the exaltation of Ticino and to the glorification of the gods they worship. This leads outsiders to consider those from Ticino to be prudes or sticks-in-the mud but those who have attended their holy-week festivals or their larger weekly services know better.
